ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-Inositol CAS#87-89-8

Myo-Inositol (cyclohexanehexol, cyclohexitol, inositol), a B-complex-related nutrient, has nine isomers determined by hydroxyl orientation relative to the ring plane: seven non-optically active and two optically active (D- and L-).

Widely distributed in nature in both free and bound forms across plant and animal cells, it is also synthesized by gut microbiota and participates in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. In animals, it occurs mainly as phosphatidylinositol, with high levels in the brain, myocardium, and skeletal muscle.

Product Applications-Inositol CAS#87-89-8

Widely used in food and feed additives, it is commonly added to fish, shrimp, livestock, and poultry feed at 350–500 mg/kg. It also serves the pharmaceutical, chemical, and cosmetic industries: applicable to liver disorders and vascular sclerosis, and as a raw material for high-end cosmetics with notable economic value.
