ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-Diammonium Phosphate CAS#7783-28-0

Diammonium phosphate (DAP), also called diammonium hydrogen phosphate, is a compound fertilizer delivering two essential nutrients: nitrogen and phosphorus. As a high-concentration, fast-acting product with high water solubility and low solid residue after dissolution, it suits a broad range of crops and soil types — especially nitrogen-loving crops with high phosphorus demand. It serves as both base fertilizer and topdressing, and deep application is recommended for best results. The standard grade contains 18% nitrogen (N) and 48% phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅), forms flat oblique prismatic crystals, and has a water solubility of 71% at 25°C.

Product Applications-Diammonium Phosphate CAS#7783-28-0

Diammonium phosphate (DAP) has wide-ranging applications across agriculture, food, feed, industrial, pharmaceutical and laboratory fields. As a high-concentration nitrogen-phosphorus compound fertilizer, it is widely used for vegetables, fruits, rice and wheat. In the food industry, it acts as a leavening agent, dough regulator, yeast nutrient, brewing fermentation additive and buffer, and also serves as a feed additive for ruminants. Industrial-grade DAP is applied for wood and fabric impregnation to enhance durability, as a flame retardant and dry-powder fire extinguishing agent (including military use as a flame retardant for rocket engine insulation materials), and in the production of printing plates, electronic tubes, fluorescent phosphors, ceramics, pharmaceuticals and biochemical wastewater treatment systems. It also functions as an analytical reagent, buffer and water softener in laboratory and industrial processes.
