Collagenase CAS#9001-12-1

Collagenase CAS#9001-12-1

Highly Specific Collagen-Degrading Activity: The enzyme exhibits strong activity toward Gly-Pro peptide bonds, enabling efficient and targeted hydrolysis of natural and denatured collagen.

Effective Necrotic Tissue Digestion: Collagenase shows a powerful digestive effect on necrotic tissue, making it highly suitable for medical debridement and wound-cleaning applications.

Promotes Tissue Regeneration and Healing: By breaking down collagen and supporting the action of other proteases, it helps stimulate granulation tissue formation and epithelial cell growth, accelerating wound healing.

High Safety and Tissue Selectivity: The enzyme does not act on globulin or fibrin, ensuring minimal impact on normal blood vessels and muscle tissue, and providing a safe option for treating burns, ulcers, bedsores, and related conditions.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-Collagenase CAS#9001-12-1

Collagenase (clostridial peptidase) is a protease fermented from Clostridium histolyticum. Medical-grade collagenase, purified from C. histolyticum ATCC 21000, cleaves Gly–Pro peptide bonds to break down collagen. It digests native and denatured collagen, debrides necrotic tissue, and boosts granulation and epithelial growth. It leaves globulin, fibrin, blood vessels and muscle intact. Widely used for debridement and treatment of chronic ulcers, bedsores and second/third-degree burns.

Product Applications-Collagenase CAS#9001-12-1

Wound Healing & Scar Management Collagen is vital for wound repair and scar formation. It supports cell growth, connective tissue proliferation and capillary regeneration, and recruits monocytes and fibroblasts. It nourishes granulation tissue, accelerates epithelialization and granulation, and treats various skin ulcers.

Bone Structure & Strength Collagen accounts for 70–80% of bone organic matter. It forms the bone’s structural framework, delivering tensile strength and flexibility like steel rebar. Collagen deficiency raises fracture risk.

Breast Support Breast firmness and shape rely on connective tissue. As its main component, collagen cross-links with polysaccharide proteins to build a supportive network that maintains breast contour.

Skin Protection & Elasticity Collagen makes up ~70% of the dermis. It forms the skin’s structural base, endowing skin with elasticity, firmness and mechanical protection to withstand movement.
