ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Product Description
Product Description-Ethyltriphenylphosphonium Bromide CAS#1530-32-1
Ethyltriphenylphosphonium bromide is a white or off-white crystalline powder. It dissolves in ethanol, chloroform and dichloromethane, with slight water solubility. Used as a dyeing reagent, this phosphonium salt also shows antiviral properties.
Product Applications-Ethyltriphenylphosphonium Bromide CAS#1530-32-1
Ethyltriphenylphosphonium Bromide (ETPB) is a phase-transfer catalyst that accelerates curing of phenolic-based epoxy resins, selected fluoroelastomer resins and thermosetting powder coatings. It also acts as an organic-synthesis catalyst and pharmaceutical intermediate. As a reactant, ETPB is involved in preparing D-amino acids, Leiodolide A (aldol reaction), Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons olefination, cycloalkanoindolines, alkyl-dipropenylthiophene monomers, as well as Mizoroki-Heck and cascading Tsuji-Trost cyclizations.
