ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-Benzyl Chloride CAS#100-44-7

Benzyl chloride is a flammable, toxic and corrosive organohalogen. It is a colorless to pale yellow clear liquid with a sharp pungent odor. Its reactive benzyl group enables wide use as an organic synthesis intermediate. It is water-insoluble but miscible with ethanol, ether, benzene, dichloromethane and other organic solvents. It dissolves oils, resins and serves as a specialty industrial solvent.

Product Applications-Benzyl Chloride CAS#100-44-7

Benzyl chloride is mainly a pharmaceutical intermediate and raw material for dyes, pigments, fragrances and daily chemicals. It synthesizes PVC stabilizers and rubber vulcanization accelerators for plastics and rubber industries. It also produces insecticides and herbicides in agrochemicals, and is used marginally as an organic synthesis solvent and electronic chemical feedstock.
