(Z)-N-9-octadecenylpropane-1,3-diamine (also known as N-oleyl-1,3-propanediamine, CAS 7173-62-8) is a fatty amine surfactant with the molecular formula C₁₈H₃₇N and a molecular weight of 267.49. Appearing as a white viscous liquid, it has a density of 0.813, a melting point of 15–22°C, a boiling point of 147°C at 2 mmHg, a refractive index of 1.4585–1.4625 and a flash point of 154°C. Insoluble in water and suitable for non-polar or weakly polar solvent systems, it is mainly used for formulating asphalt emulsifiers, antistatic agents and betaine-based products.
