ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-Polysorbate 20 CAS#9005-64-5

Polysorbate 20 (Tween 20) is a yellow-amber oily surfactant with a distinctive odor and faint bitter taste. Produced by ethoxylation of sorbitan monolaurate, it has SG 1.08–1.13 and b.p. 321°C. It dissolves in water, ethanol, methanol and ethyl acetate, but not in mineral oil or petroleum ether. It is widely used as a stabilizer for biological products.

Product Applications-Polysorbate 20 CAS#9005-64-5

Tween 20 is an O/W emulsifier with solubilizing, dispersing, stabilizing, lubricating and antistatic functions. In petroleum industry, it inhibits paraffin wax, reduces crude oil viscosity and boosts production and transport efficiency. In pharmaceuticals and personal care, it works as solubilizer, penetrant and dispersant. It also goes into anti-rust lubricants, rust removers and degreasing oils.
