ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-Cadmium oxide CAS#1306-19-0

Cadmium oxide (CdO) is a carcinogenic inorganic cadmium compound that typically appears as a brownish-red to brownish-black amorphous powder or fine cubic crystals at room temperature. It dissolves in acids to form the complex ion [Cd(H₂O)₆]²⁺ and in alkaline media to form [Cd(OH)₄]²⁻, is soluble in acids, aqueous ammonia and ammonium salt solutions but insoluble in water and alkalis, and is mainly used as a catalyst and a raw material for producing high-purity cadmium salts.

Product Applications-Cadmium oxide CAS#1306-19-0

Cadmium oxide is used in cadmium electroplating solutions, cadmium electrodes, photoelectric tubes and gamma-ray photography, and also serves as a pigment for ceramic glazes, a feedstock for alloy production in the metallurgical industry, and both a starting material and catalyst for preparing cadmium salts and cadmium reagents.
