ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-AMBERLITE(R) XAD-4 CAS#37380-42-0

Ion exchange resins are cross-linked functional polymers (essentially cross-linked polymeric acids or bases) capable of exchanging like-charged ions in aqueous solutions.  polystyrene-based and polyacrylic acid-based variants were developed and commercialized after World War II, followed by macroporous types from the 1960s onward. They are classified by exchange groups into cationic and anionic resins, by dissociation degree into strong-acid, weak-acid, strong-base and weak-base grades, and by physical structure into gel-type resins, macroporous resins and ion exchange membranes, with specialized varieties including chelating, amphoteric and oxidation-reduction resins for targeted applications.

Product Applications-AMBERLITE(R) XAD-4 CAS#37380-42-0

Ion exchange resins possess versatile functional properties including ion exchange, adsorption, catalysis, decolorization, dehydration and oxidation-reduction, and are widely used across industries such as electronics, electrical engineering, metallurgy, chemicals, nuclear energy, pharmaceuticals, light industry and environmental protection. They are typically applied for water softening, seawater desalination and high-purity water production, and also serve to recover precious metals from wastewater, remove radioactive substances from water, and achieve separation, concentration, purification and recovery of uranium, while playing a vital role in the separation and purification of rare earth elements, precious metals, and high-value compounds including amino acids, antibiotics and vitamins.
