ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-Liquid caustic soda Sodium hydroxide CAS#1310-73-2

Liquid caustic soda is aqueous sodium hydroxide (NaOH). Pure liquid caustic soda is a clear, colorless liquid with a relative density of 1.328–1.349, melting point of 318.4°C and boiling point of 1390°C. Industrial grades contain impurities including sodium chloride, sodium carbonate and trace iron oxide, typically supplied at 30–32%, 40–42% and 50% concentrations. It is categorized as Class I inorganic alkaline corrosive material.

Product Applications-Liquid caustic soda Sodium hydroxide CAS#1310-73-2

Liquid alkali is a fundamental bulk chemical with broad industrial uses. In chemical manufacturing, it produces formic acid, oxalic acid, borax, phenol, sodium cyanide, soap, synthetic fatty acids and detergents. For textile printing & dyeing, it acts as desizing, scouring and mercerizing agent, and solvent for vat and azuron blue dyes. In metallurgy, it makes aluminium hydroxide, alumina and metal surface treatment agents. It works as acid neutralizer, decolorizer and deodorant for instrument production, and starch gelatinizer / neutralizer in adhesives. It also finds wide applications in enamel, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, leather, coating, pesticide and glass sectors.
