ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-Potassium bromate CAS#7758-01-2

Potassium bromate (KBrO₃) is an inorganic compound mainly used as an analytical reagent, oxidizing agent and wool bleaching agent. On October 27, 2017, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) of the World Health Organization listed it as a Group 2B carcinogen.

Product Applications-Potassium bromate CAS#7758-01-2

Potassium bromate is a common oxidizing agent and an analytical reference standard, especially for the spot determination of gallium. In mercury refining, its 3 % aqueous solution is used for mercury purification. It also serves as a wool-treatment agent. In the food industry, it has been used as a quality-improving additive for canned fish and meat, and as a bread-making additive to enhance flour baking performance.
