ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Product Description

Product Description-Ethyl vinyl ether CAS#109-92-2

Ethyl vinyl ether is a colorless, highly reactive flammable liquid that polymerizes readily in both liquid and gas phases; industrial grades therefore contain polymerization inhibitors for storage stability.

Key physical constants: freezing point −115 ℃, boiling point 35–36 ℃, relative density 0.754 (20/20 ℃), refractive index 1.3767, flash point −45.5 ℃, autoignition temperature 201.66 ℃, and viscosity 0.22 mPa·s at 20 ℃.

It is slightly water-soluble (~0.9 wt %), with a flammable range in air of 1.7 %–28 % by volume.

Product Applications-Ethyl vinyl ether CAS#109-92-2

Ethyl vinyl ether is used pharmaceutically as an anesthetic and analgesic, and serves as a key intermediate for fine chemicals and sulfadiazine production. It also acts as a copolymerization monomer, an organic-synthesis feedstock, and an ingredient in fragrances and lubricant additives.
